An adaptive challenge everyone experiences!
Health is an issue that concerns us all. We want to be healthy, and we want healthy friends and families. Organizations want healthy employees – they are more productive and have lower costs. Communities want healthier residents – they add to the economy and require minimal levels of safety net services. Our society is struggling to find the resources and means to address the myriad health issues we face. Health may be the most obvious example of an adaptive challenge; it requires we build and apply the competencies of adaptive learning to address the many facets of health issues.
The Georgia Health Policy Center (GHPC) – our strategic partner in the health domain – is the leading expert on applying adaptive learning to health related issues and policies.
GHPC and Pontifex Consulting have developed a successful, continuing, and still evolving(!) Legislative Health Policy Certificate Program in Georgia. Other states have developed similar programs based on their innovative model.
Working together and separately, GHPC and Pontifex Consulting have years of experience supporting organizations like the CDC, the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, ReThink Health, and several state health systems (e.g. Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Mexico). These successful collaborations have successfully applied our competencies to high leverage issues. During the course of our work, we’ve helped national and local organizations find strategies to improve aspects of…
- Chronic disease
- Childhood obesity
- Children’s behavioral health
- Motor vehicle trauma
