SysQ Matters—Overview

THE MAIN PARAGRAPH—What’s this series

Systemic Intelligence (SysQTM) is your key to building comprehensive, actionable understanding of complex problems. It’s unlocks your potential for sustainable solutions.

Subscribe to this series to learn how you can apply SysQ to understanding today’s complex world. You’ll learn how to build your SysQ along the way. The Basics of Supply and Production

DETAILS—How the series works

SysQ Matters is your place to see how SysQ (systemic intelligence, the capacity to apply systems thinking) generates the insight you need to to understand today’s world.

Each posting in this series will identify an issue—perhaps from the headlines, maybe distant history, even an article or book—where common understanding is lacking. The anemic SysQ capacity applied to these topics leads to simplistic, low leverage analysis that may be incomplete, inaccurate or perhaps downright dangerous.

You’ll see how SysQ helps:

  • Identify the Right Wall—Frame the issue(s) so you’re solving the right problems

  • Build the Right Map—Avoid simplistic analysis of a complex issue

  • Develop the Right Plan—Find overlooked and counter intuitive solutions

  • Create High Impact Results—Know how to avoid common pitfalls executing the plan…like unintended consequences

This series needs to meet your needs. It should be driven by those interesting, complex, perplexing topics that you want to better understand.

Therefore, you can (and should!) contribute topics you’d most like to see SysQ provide you deeper insight. These can be recent items in the news, long term global trends of interest to you, a book and/or theory you’d like to explore, or any issue you think would benefit from the SysQ framework. I’ll then select one of these topics for each post.

Each post should serve as an entré into a conversation. Comments, feedback—and yes, dissent—are not simply welcome: they are encouraged.
